Ben is Magical.

The iPad.

Funny name. Makes people think of menstrurating.

An overgrown iPhone/iPod Touch that can't multitask, at least that's what it's critics cast on on it.

The iPad was announced in late January at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

It released on Saturday 4/3/2010.

I had to have one, being the huge Apple fan and poweruser (yeah I said it) that I am.

This is the unboxing and getting familiar with my Apple iPad 64GB Wi-fi model.

The experience is magical, like it or not. The iPad responds immediately to a touch on the screen.  The interface is super intuitive and natural.  The iPad moves the screen, reacts and renders much faster and smoother than the iPhone 3GS or any other touchscreen device.

I am hooked. It isn't a laptop replacement, but it will change how people/companies think of portable computers going forward.

I can't wait for the software we will see developed for this innovative tablet. The apps I did download (iBooks, ABC viewer, Netflix, Marvel) are amazing. Viewing comics on this thing really is different from print, the cells look insanely beautiful on the IPS screen.
