The day started with us leaving San Diego Airport on Wednesday at 6:30AM and arriving at our next stop, Philadelphia, on time. In Philly we were delayed for 2 hours. Unfortunately this meant we missed our connecting flight at our next destination, Frankfurt (aka my favorite place in the world) The first images in this set are from our long(er) stay in Frankfurt before we took our last flight, a Lufthansa City flight to Florence.
We arrived in Florence on time (relative to the new flight) and it was HOT. We met a nice couple in Frankfurt who were in our situation, and we decided to share a cab with them to get to the Firenze main train terminal. Our last destination would be an hour train ride away, the city of Montevarchi.
The train ride went well for the most part, other than us missing our stop because of a stuck door. We took a detour through the city of Arezzo, where we took the next train back to Montevarchi. From Montevarchi it was a 40 Euro cab ride to the Poggio Cennina, the villas where Tammy and Mark's wedding was to take place.
Once at Poggio Cennina we met up with the rest of the gang. We were all assigned our temporary housing assignments as they would change the next day when more people arrived. The rest of the night consisted of stealing alcohol, eating Sinigang and Chicken Adobo, raiding the girls' house, me tackling Mark into the rose bushes and me falling into the swimming pool full clothed (and holding my camera)
