The Wedding Day!
This day started out very lazily as the ceremony was in the late afternoon. Everyone got ready at a slow pace, and either lounged by the pool or napped.
At around 3:30 the hustle and bustle started as the guys got ready to depart to the Church. The ceremony was at 5:15, so the guests made our way to the chapel on the next shuttle bus.
I arrived at the chapel and started snapping away, hopefully I got some pics that interest you. Corbin, the professional photographer, documented the groom and his party.
Mark sat at the altar, and awaited his bride.
The girls arrived right on time, and the ceremony began. The girls walked their way to their seats and the attention was to the close doors of the chapel.
Tammy appeared through the chapel doors with her Dad. The moment was amazing and everyone had tears in their eyes.
A beautiful ceremony with classical music and a great Italian priest followed. Tammy and Mark were now man and wife.
After the ceremony, Corbin took several THOUSAND photos haha and we all hung outside the chapel. Once that was done we boarded the shuttles to return to Poggio Cennina.
Cocktail hour was held poolside and antipasti was served. Second serving of the ZUCCHINI FLOWERS, here I come. The wedding party arrived shortly after us guests and we all huddled around the food until dinner started. Corbin took more pics and we all congratulated Tammy and Mark on their newfound marriage.
Dinner was a four course affair with the richest, most delicious pastas and succulent Tuscan beef. It was amazing. Mark and Tammy had their first dance as man and wife. After this Tammy danced with her Dad, which was a very heartwarming scene. Tears flowed again. Mark followed with his Mom, who was smiling ear to ear. The best man and matron of honor made their speeches. Tania and Tammy had their moment on the dance floor. The night was amazing.
It got better! A waiter rung the bell on his bicycle, and attached to it was a fully stocked GELATO stand. We feasted. And the alcohol came out. Open bar. The rest of the night belonged to us, I cant really put into words the great time we had.
Oh yeah one thing interesting happened. The girls jumped in the pool. At midnight. In their bridesmaid dresses.
