Ben is full-frame

I've always been fascinated with photography. It was a form of art that I could actually wrap my head around. I don't have any formal training, but I do enjoy photography as a hobby. With the advent of digital photography and software post processing, it is easy for willing nerds like me.

This past Saturday I purchased a Canon EOS 5D SLR camera as an upgrade to replace my trusty EOS 30D. Currently, I have a EF 35mm f/2.0 lens is hanging from the front, and mounted on top is a 430EX flash with a Sto-fen diffuser. The move to a full frame Canon body was not planned for me, but a trip to the liquidation sale at the La Mesa Circuit City changed all that! I found a 5D hiding in the display case and promptly purchased it. Let's say I made off like a bandit, as the 5D was on clearance (due to being replaced by the baller MKII) and CC had an additional 30% off the price. BTW if you want a mint 30D with a EF 18-55mm kit lens holler at me!

Earlier on Saturday I met up with Khoa (www.khoalty.com) at the Ralph's in Sunbow for some JDM (OMG JDM BMW WTF) red and gold centercaps for the BBS LMs on the M5. Khoa generously held the centercaps for me for over a month hahaha. It's hard to cough up $90 bucks for 4 pieces of plastic, no matter how ballin' they are.

Anyway, the first pictures I took with the 5D are of the wheels/caps and the M5. Also, on Wednesday of last week the homie Shane Nguyen (BMW mastertech) installed some Hella CELIS taillights that I purchased on M5Board, these lights came on the 01-03 E39s and make my 2000 look a little newer.

Later that evening Jed (my lover boy/Mindz Alike/CORE/SEX-C/Why are you reading this?) picked me up (with Alana and her friend Bernie) to go downtown. Alana went thizzin' without us, so Jed and I ventured through the pouring rain to YardHouse. I didn't realize how awesome YardHouse is, I know that it used to be a regular place for us to go. LOL, remember when Gerald passed out from a penis touch gone wrong? Sorry Q! Anyways, back to my recollection. I ordered a Bloody Mary. Yes. I have been fascinated with Bloody Marys since I tried one with Grace at CliffHouse in SF and I have had three since. Don't ask me why, but I love the spicy Ketchup, Vodka, Olive nastyness of it all. Jed, however, doesn't.

BTW Cleveland sucks. The Lakers beat a team with an overinflated record with a spoiled superstar. They beat a team like themselves.

On the other hand the Spurs murked the Celtics.
